The Deep River Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for new members. No experience is necessary. We offer attractive incentive programs for qualified members, such tax abatements, retirement plans and 100% training reimbursement. State of Connecticut Fire Training classes are available locally and at the Connecticut Fire Academy in Windsor Locks, CT.

Any person residing in the town of Deep River, and a citizen of the United States, having lived in said town for six (6) consecutive months or more, having attained the age of eighteen (18) years, (high school students ineligible) being of good moral character, physically and mentally capable, shall be eligible for membership in the Deep River Fire Department.
Any person residing in the town of Deep River, and a citizen of the United States, having lived in said town for six (6) consecutive months or more, having attained the age of fifteen (15) years, being of good moral character, physically and mentally capable, shall be eligible for membership in the Junior Divison of the Deep River Fire Department.
